BROKEN RECORDS
The Ivy League indoor season has been filled with stellar performances as eight Ivy League records have already been broken. Penn's Isabella Whittaker broke the records in the 400m dash and the 500m run with times of 51.69 and 1:10.12, respectively. Whittaker was also a part of the 4x400m relay team with Nwachuku, Niemiec, and Garozzo that broke the conference record at the Clemson Tiger Paw Invitational with a time of 3:29.86.

Harvard's Maia Ramsden has continued to put her name in the record books, breaking records in the mile and 3,000m run. Ramsden ran to a time of 4:24.83 in the mile at the 116th Millrose Games, and 8:46.84 in the 3,000m at the season opener. Additionally, Ramsden broke the record in the distance medley relay along with teammates Gorriaran, Ndip-Agbor, and Bossong with a time of 10:52.07.

The Crimson's Anastasia Retsa broke the conference pole vault record with a mark of 4.32m at the Eagle Elite.

On the men's side, Harvard's Graham Blanks broke not only the Ivy League record, but the NCAA record at the time, in the 5k with a time of 13:03.78 at the Boston University Sharon Colyear-Danville Season Opener.

NATIONALLY-RANKED TEAMS
Heading into the weekend, both the Harvard men and women are nationally-ranked in the USTFCCCA Track & Field Rating Index. The women (18th) and the men (19th) lead the way as all 16 men's and women's programs are also regionally-ranked in the top-15 of their respective regions.

DEFENDING CHAMPS
Last year, the Harvard women left Hanover as Ivy League Champions as they claimed their ninth Ivy League indoor track & field title in program history, gaining 177 points for the title. The men's side featured one of the closest races for the title in Ivy League Heps history as the Princeton men defended their title, claiming their 24th overall Ivy League indoor track and field title with 164 points, narrowly edging out Harvard (163).

NATIONAL SUCCESS
Last year, a total of 11 Ivies competed at the 2023 NCAA indoor track and field championship at the Albuquerque Convention Center in Albuquerque, New Mexico from March 10-11. All 11 Ivies earned All-America honors as Princeton's Sondre Guttormsen took home the national title in the men's pole vault.
