PRINCETON, N.J. – After an exciting regular season, the Ivy League field hockey tournament is set for Friday and Saturday, November 8 & 10 at Bedford Field in Princeton, N.J.

Friday, November 8
Semifinal #1: 1: No. 1 Princeton vs. No. 4 Columbia – 11:30 a.m. (ESPN+)
Semifinal #2: No. 2 Harvard vs. No. 3 Brown – 2:30 p.m. (ESPN+)

NO. 1 PRINCETON
Princeton (12-4 overall) earned hosting rights for the tournament after capturing the outright Ivy League championship with a 7-0 record in league play. The Tigers have won six games in a row, moving up to No. 10 in the latest NCAA RPI rankings. Beth Yeager leads Princeton offensively and is ranked sixth and seventh in the nation in goals (0.94) and points per game (2.44), respectively. The Tigers have been strong defensively as well, ranking 10
th in the NCAA in goals against average (1.16).
NO. 2 HARVARD
Harvard captured the No. 2 seed after finishing with a 6-1 Ivy record. Harvard, which has spent a majority of the season ranked in the top-10 of the NFHCA Coaches Poll and is currently ranked No. 8 in RPI, has a 13-3 overall record this season and ranks eighth in the nation with 3.06 goals per game. Lara Beekhuis and Sage Piekarski both have nine goals each to lead the Crimson while goalkeeper Tessa Shahbo has a 1.16 goals against average with two shutouts.
NO. 3 BROWN
Brown (9-7 overall, 4-3 Ivy) is one of two new teams to the Ivy League field hockey tournament this year. The Bears currently lead the nation in penalty corners per game (9.82). Katie McCallum leads the Bears with 33 points while Lucy Adams and Mia Karine Myklebust follow with 19 points each. Defensively, Julia Hitti is 10
th in the nation with four defensive saves this season.
NO. 4 COLUMBIA
Columbia (6-9, 3-4 Ivy rounded out the field on the final day of Ivy League competition and earned its tournament spot by winning a three-way tiebreaker with Cornell and Yale. The Lions have won three-straight games heading into the Ivy tournament. The backbone of the Lions this season has been goalkeeper Katie Wimmer who has been consistently ranked in the top-five in the NCAA in several statistical categories this year, including save percentage (2
nd – 0.824) and saves per game (4
th – 8.13).
Last season’s inaugural field hockey tournament was a thriller as top-seeded Harvard edged No. 3 Princeton, 2-1 with a last-minute goal scored by Lara Beekhuis, propelling the Crimson to the NCAA Tournament. Harvard went on to reach the NCAA quarterfinals a year ago.
The winner of the 2024 Ivy League Field Hockey Tournament will earn the league’s automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. The field will be revealed Sunday, November 10 at 10 p.m. on NCAA.com.
