Women's Lacrosse 5/3/2023 2:00:00 PM Ivy League Announces Women's Lacrosse Major Awards and All-Ivy Teams PRINCETON, N.J. — Following an undefeated conference campaign as well as a top-25 ranking throughout the majority of the season, Penn earned four of five major awards as the Quakers took home the Attacker, Midfielder, Defender, and Coach of the Year awards. Dartmouth claimed Goaltender of the Year. Penn senior Niki Miles was the unanimous choice for 2023 Ivy League Attacker of the Year after leading the league with 52 goals. Additionally, the San Clemente, Calif., native tallied the most points in the conference with 63. In addition to her goals and assists, Miles recorded 15 caused turnovers to go along with 21 ground balls. Miles' 6.87 shots on goal per game ranked second in the country. Penn's Anna Brandt earned Midfielder of the Year accolades following a terrific sophomore season. Brandt finished second on the team, only behind Miles, with 42 goals while dishing out four assists on the year. She won 48 draw controls in addition to picking up 21 ground balls to help lead the Quakers. The unanimous selection for Defender of the Year, Penn's Izzy Rohr anchored a backline that finished second in the league in scoring defense and tops in the conference in goals-against average. She led the Quakers and the league in caused turnovers (23), and finished sixth in the league in ground balls (31). The Big Green's Gisele Todd garners Goaltender of the Year honors following a stellar conference campaign that saw her lead the league in saves percentage (.474) as well as saves per game (10.43). Todd was the final line of defense for a Big Green squad that finished fourth in goals-against average. In her 24th season at the helm of Penn, Karin Corbett earns Coach of the Year honors after leading her team to an undefeated conference campaign as well as a national ranking. On the way to a number one seed in the 2023 Women's Lacrosse Tournament, Corbett won the Quakers' 12th overall conference championship and the first since 2018. All eight Ivy League members were represented on the All-Ivy Teams in 2023 as seven of the eight Ivy League schools had players selected to the First Team. Penn led the way with eight total selections, followed by five from Princeton, four from Yale, and three each from Cornell, Dartmouth, and Harvard. Additionally, one student-athlete from each institution was recognized for their commitment in the classroom and on the field as members of the 2023 Ivy League Women's Lacrosse Academic All-Ivy team.
