Women's Golf All-Ivy, Postseason Awards Announced

PRINCETON, N.J. – The Ivy League announced it 2023 All-Ivy women’s golf teams and major award winners Thursday afternoon.
 
Following a vote of the league’s six coaches, Princeton’s Victoria Liu was named the Ivy League Player of the Year, Princeton’s Catherine Rao was tabbed the Rookie of the Year and Penn’s Mark Anderson was the Coach of the Year.
 
Liu, the reigning Ivy League Rookie of the Year, posted an average score of 72.47 to be the unanimous selection for player of the year. She earned a first place finish at the Princeton Invitational, the Columbia Classic and the River Landing Classic. Her Division I GolfStat ranking was 123 and her regional rank was 61.
 
Rao posted three top five finishes in her freshman campaign, including a second place finish at the Ivy League Championship. The Camarillo, Calif., native netted an average score of 74.14.  

Anderson led the Quakers to their second-ever Ivy League title. All five Penn golfers competing at the championship earned All-Ivy recognition. The Quakers will represent the Ivy League in the NCAA regional at the PGA National Resort Palm Beach from May 8-10 in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.
 
Harvard’s Isabella Gomez, the Ivy League Championship individual medalist, will be competing individually in the Athens Regional at the University of Georgia Golf Course in Athens, Ga.  

The first team consisted of Gomez, Rao, Bridget O’Keefe (Penn), Samantha Yao (Dartmouth) and Coco Chai (Yale).
 
Natalie Cao (Penn), Ami Gianchandani (Yale), Iris Wang (Harvard), Sophie Thai (Dartmouth), Selina Li (Penn), Julie Shin (Penn), Kaitlyn Lee (Yale), Yu Kyung Kim (Princeton), Claire Xu (Dartmouth), Alexis Kim (Yale), Susan Xiao (Penn) and Katherine Sung (Dartmouth).

Results for the all-Ivy teams are based on finish at the Ivy League Women’s Golf Championship.

Additionally, one Ivy League women's golf student-athlete from each institution was recognized for their commitment in the classroom and on the course as members of the 2022-23 Ivy League Women's Golf Academic All-Ivy team. Columbia's Allison Paik, Dartmouth’s Katherine Sung, Harvard’s Isabella Gomez, Penn's Selina Li, Princeton’s Tiffany Kong and Yale’s Kaitlyn Lee were each named to the team.
