Harvard and Dartmouth Earn Women's Lacrosse Weekly Awards

PRINCETON, N.J. — Dartmouth, Harvard, Penn, and Princeton all collected wins this past weekend as the race for the top-four continues to take shape. Harvard's Caroline Mullahy earned Offensive Player of the Week honors while Dartmouth's Maja Desmond took home Defensive Player of the Week honors.

Three Ivies (No. 15 Penn, No. 19 Yale and No. 24 Princeton) are ranked in this week's ILWomen/IWLCA Division I poll.

OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Caroline Mullahy, Harvard (So., A - Morrisville, N.C.)
  • Mullahy recorded five points (one goal, four assists) in a 10-9 win over Harvard.
  • She added five ground balls and one draw control in an all-around effort.
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Maja Desmond, Dartmouth (So., M - Wellesley, Mass.)
  • In a 2-0 week for the Big Green, Desmond had seven draw controls, two ground balls, and two caused turnovers.
  • Against UMass Lowell, she had four draw controls, one ground ball, and one caused turnover.
  • Desmond followed that up with three draw controls, one ground ball, and one caused turnover in the 16-8 win over Columbia.
