PRINCETON, N.J. – The Ivy League announced it 2022 All-Ivy women’s golf teams and major award winners Tuesday afternoon.
Following a vote of the league’s six coaches, Yale’s
Ami Gianchandani was named the Ivy League Player of the Year, Princeton’s
Victoria Liu was tabbed the Rookie of the Year and Princeton’s
Erika DeSanty was the Coach of the Year.
Gianchandani was named the Ivy League Player of the Year for the second time in her career. She also earned the honor in 2019. The Watchung, N.J. native posted a pair of event wins during her junior campaign at Boston College Intercollegiate and the Ford Invitational. Of her 10 tournament appearances, she earned top four finishes in five – including a third place finish at the Ivy championship. Gianchandani finished the season with an average score of 74.48.
The individual champion at the Ivy League championship this past weekend, Liu was unanimously voted the rookie of the year. The freshman won two of the eight tournaments she was in this season and posted top-10 finishes in six. The Vancouver, British Columbia, native posted an average score of 73.38.
DeSanty led the Tigers to their seventh overall Ivy League title. Entering the final round of competition, Princeton trailed by two strokes and ended up winning the event by three.

Results for the all-Ivy teams are based on finish at the Ivy League Women’s Golf Championship.
Additionally, one Ivy League women's golf student-athlete from each institution was recognized for their commitment in the classroom and on the course as members of the 2021-22 Ivy League Women's Golf Academic All-Ivy team. Columbia's
