Yale Men's Golf Claims 11th Ivy League Crown in Program History

PURCHASE, N.Y. -- (Third Round Team Results | Third Round Individual Results) Yale posted a 35-over par 852 to claim its 11th Ivy League Men’s Golf title in program history, its first since 2018.
 
Yale (+35, 292-289-306 -- 887) withstood a final round surge from Columbia (+40, 307-285-300 -- 892) to main their steady lead, while Harvard (+45, 302-389-306 -- 897) dropped a spot to settle into a third-place finish.
 
A Bulldog freshman, Ben Carpenter (+5, 72-71-75-- 218), became the Ivy League individual champion. Carpenter went from not participating in the Princeton invitational just two weeks to becoming an Ivy League champion. Gabriel Ruiz (+9, 73-71-78--222) and Blake Brantley (+9, 72, 72, 78 -- 222) finished tied for sixth, while Darren Lin (+13, 75-75-75--226) rounded out the Yale scorers.
 
Columbia saw a big day from DJ Francey (+7, 75-71-74--220) and Nathan Han (+8, 75-72-74-221) as each jumped up three spots in the standings to secure medal honors.
 
Penn senior Mark Haghani (+7, 78-71-71--220) made a nine spot leap to finish the 54-hole tournament tied for second.
 
Princeton (+47, 304-295-300 -- 899), Dartmouth (+52, 306-299-299 --904), Penn (+60, 314-299-299--912) and Cornell (+79, 318-308-305--931) round out the final team standings from the 2022 Ivy League Men’s Golf Championship.
