PURCHASE, N.Y. -- (Second Round Team Results | Second Round Individual Results | Third Round Pairings) Yale extends their ten-stroke lead through the second round of the 2022 Ivy League Men's Golf Championship. A much calmer day on the course displayed strong individual and team showings throughout the afternoon.
Yale (+13, 581) and Harvard (+23, 591) both posted a league-best five-over-par 289 second-round performance to main their place in the top two slots on the leaderboard.
The Bulldogs saw
Ben Carpenter (E, 71) lead the day, holding sole possesion of the first place spot. Additionally,
Gabriel Ruiz (E, 73),
Blake Brantley (+1, 72) and
Darren Lin (+4, 75) contributed to the first place ranking.
Harvard's
Diego Saavedra-Davila (-2, 69) made a jump in standings with an impressive two-under par performance to leave him tied at second heading into the third round.
Brian Ma was the only other golfer today to note a two-under par performance
Columbia jumped up two spots in the standings to third. The Lions saw clutch performances from
DJ Francey (E, 71),
Nathan Han (+1, 72),
Daniel Core (-1, 70) and
Wyatt McGovern (+1, 72).
Princeton (+31, 304-295 -- 599), Dartmouth (+37, 306-299 -- 605), Penn (+45, 314-299 -- 613) and Cornell (+58, 318-308 -- 626) round out the standings following round two action.
