PRINCETON, N.J. – Strong individual performances from Penn’s
Dylan Gergar and Cornell’s
CJ Kirst led to this men’s lacrosse weekly honors. Gergar was name Player of the Week after leading No. 10 Penn to a huge overtime win over No. 7 Duke. Kirst picks up his second Rookie of the Week honor after helping Cornell to a 2-0 start.
The Ivy League boats 4 teams in the national poll. No. 5 Penn cracks the Top-5 after taking down then-No. 7 Duke, 14-13, in overtime. No. 11 Cornell, No. 13 Yale and No. 18 Princeton round out the League’s contingent.

Dylan Gergar, Penn (Sr., A – Annapolis, Md.)
- Dylan Gergar scored six goals to lead No. 11 Penn to a 14-13 victory against No. 7 Duke on Saturday in Long Island.
- Dating back to 2020, he has scored four or more goals in six straight games.
- Gergar is tied for the tops in the Ivy League in goals per game (5.0) and is second in total goals with 10.
CJ Kirst, Cornell (So., A – Bernardsville, N.J.)
- In a low-scoring road contest, Kirst scored two goals and assisted on a third as the Big Red toppled Lehigh 9-5.
- He added five ground balls and caused a turnover in the win.
- He scored twice and assisted on a third during a 4-0 run in the first half that gave the Big Red the lead for good, assisting on the game-tying and scoring the go-ahead goal.
