Brown's Jeschke, Princeton's Fish Garner First Weekly Honors of the Season

PRINCETON, N.J. -- Ivy League women’s lacrosse opened the 2022 season with a dominating force. Brown’s Claire Jeschke and Princeton’s Sam Fish earn the first weekly honors of the season after leading their teams to victory.
 
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Claire Jeschke, Brown (Sr., A — Syracuse, N.Y.)
  • Led the Bears with 7 points in season opening win over Bryant, 14-11
  • Her three goals and four assists were both career highs
  • Her four draw controls were the second most for the Bears
  • Contributed eight shots with five on target
 
 
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Sam Fish, Princeton (Sr., GK — San Diego, Calif.)
  • Fish made 15 saves in #16 Princeton’s 17-11 win at No. 10 Virginia
  • Made three saves on free position attempts
  • Her second career Ivy League Defensive Player of the Week honor
