Men's Squash All-Ivy, Postseason Awards Announced

PRINCETON, N.J. – Princeton’s Youssef Ibrahim and Penn’s Nathan Kueh took home the Ivy League men’s squash postseason awards following a vote of the League’s head coaches.
 
Ibrahim was named the Player of the Year, Kueh was tabbed the Rookie of the Year and Penn head coach Gilly Lane was dubbed the Coach of the Year.
 
Ibrahim posted a flawless record of 6-0 at the No. 1 position against Ivy League opponents for the Tigers. He closed out the season with a 10-game win streak on court one.
 
Kueh posted an overall record of 5-1 in his rookie campaign for the Quakers. He played at the No. 4, No. 5 and No. 6 positions throughout the season.
 
Lane guided the Quakers to a perfect 16-0 season and the No. 1 national ranking in the CSA poll. Penn earned its first Ivy League title in 48 years under Lane’s direction.
 
Harvard, who went 6-1 in Ivy play, had four-of-10 First Team All-Ivy slots with Victor Crouin, George Crowne, Marwan Tarek and Sam Scherl earning nods. Crouin, Tarek and Scherl were each unanimous selections.
 
After finishing with a perfect 7-0 Ivy record, Penn had two members named to the All-Ivy team. Aly Abou Eleinen was a unanimous selection and Andrew Douglas earned a spot on the team.
 
A total of six schools were represented on the All-Ivy First Team. Columbia’s Velavan Senthilkumar, Cornell’s Veer Chotrani, Ibrahim and Yale’s Max Forster were named to the team. Chotrani and Ibrahim were all unanimous selections.

Additionally, one Ivy League men's squash student-athlete from each institution was recognized for their commitment in the classroom and on the court as members of the 2021-22 Ivy League Men's Squash Academic All-Ivy team. Columbia's Callan Hall, Cornell’s Henry Robbins, Dartmouth’s James Bell, Harvard’s Victor Crouin, Penn's Yash Bhargava, Princeton’s Cole Becker and Yale’s Nadav Raziel were each named to the team.
