Three Ivies Represented on United Soccer Coaches All-America Teams

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – After leading their teams to NCAA Division I Men’s Soccer Championship runs, Penn’s Leo Burney and Stas Korzeniowski as well as Cornell’s Emeka Eneli were named to the United Soccer Coaches All-America second team.
 
Burney, a sophomore defender, the Ivy League Defender of the Year and All-Ivy first team honoree, helped contribute to eight Penn shutouts while limiting opposing teams to fewer than one goal and eight shots per match during the season. In addition, his presence was felt on the offensive side of the ball, finishing with five goals and 12 points.
 
Korzeniowski, a sophomore forward, the Ivy League Player of the Year and unanimous All-Ivy first team pick, scored 10 goals during the regular season while adding six assists for 28 points. At the conclusion of the regular season, Korzeniowski ranked 18th nationally in points per game and was 19th in goals per game.
 
Eneli, a fifth-year forward was a unanimous All-Ivy first team selection after registering 15 points via four goals and seven assists for Cornell. He helped the Big Red to a No. 14 national seed ahead of the NCAA tournament.
