PRINCETON, N.J. -- 28 former Ivy League lacrosse standouts will suit up as the 2021 Premier Lacrosse League season gets underway this weekend at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, Massachusetts.
All seven programs are represented across the PLL's eight teams with Yale leading the way with seven players, while Cornell fields six players, include
Jeff Teat, the first overall pick in the 2021 PLL draft. Penn and Princeton boast five alums on rosters rounded out by Brown, Harvard and Dartmouth.
The Ivy League's 28 alum ranks fourth among all conferences trailing only the ACC, Big Ten and Big East.
The 2021 PLL season spans 11 weeks across the country, featuring seven regular-season weekends, an all-star weekend and three playoff weekends. The playoffs begin on Friday, Aug. 20, and culminate with the Championship on Sunday, Sept. 19.
