PRINCETON, N.J. -- Following a 2019 campaign that featured Ivy League men’s lacrosse as one of the strongest conferences in the country, the league is poised to showcase another nationally-successful season with 14 standouts named to the
2020 Inside Lacrosse Preseason Media All-American Teams.
Yale, which came within a game of its second consecutive national championship in 2019, was selected as No. 3 in both the Inside Lacrosse Face-off Yearbook and the Nike/US Lacrosse Poll and paces the way with five selections. No. 5/10 Penn and No. 12/12 Cornell each earned three spots followed by Brown and Princeton with one honoree each.

Michael Sowers, a Tewaaraton Award finalist on the First-Team
Ierlan led the Bulldogs to its second national title game, winning over 75 percent of his attempts at the X. Handley set freshman records in goals (35), assists (26) and points (61). His 61 points ranks fourth all-time in a season by a Quaker. Sowers enters his final campaign ranked fifth all-time among Division I players in points per game and assists per game.

The third-team featured Cornell senior attackman Jeff Teat, Penn senior defender Mark Evanchick and Yale junior attackman Jackson Morrill. Brown was represented by senior goalie Phil Goss, who earned honorable mention.
The 2020 Ivy League Men’s Lacrosse season will get underway on Friday, Feb. 15 with six games on tap, highlighted by No. 5/10 Penn’s trip to No. 4/4 Maryland.
