Sears, Bourque Clinch Tournament Berths En Route to Women's Lacrosse Weekly Accolades

PRINCETON, N.J. -- An eventful weekend in Ivy League women’s lacrosse concluded with all four berths to the 2019 Ivy League Women’s Lacrosse Tournament being secured. 
 
The four Big Apple-bound teams—Dartmouth, Princeton, Cornell and Penn—are each in contention for the 2019 Ivy League title entering the final regular-season weekend. 
 
Though the field is set, teams will also be jockeying for position—and seeding—in the 2019 Ivy League Women’s Lacrosse Tournament as they conclude the regular season on Saturday, April 27. 

OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Kyla Sears, Princeton (So., A – Skaneateles, N.Y.)
  • Led the Tigers to a 2-0 week, with victories over No. 12/12 Penn and Yale 
  • Registered 13 points—via eight goals and five assists 
  • Added a pair of ground balls and a draw control on the week 
  • Was 1-of-3 Ivies to score her 100th career goal this week, joining Dartmouth’s Elizabeth Mastrio and Penn's Erin Barry 
  • Led all scorers with six points in the battle of reigning Ivy League champions No. 11/10 Princeton and No. 12/12 Penn

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Katie Bourque, Dartmouth (Jr., M – Ridgewood, N.J.)
  • Propelled the Big Green to a 2-0 week, with wins over Vermont and Cornell
  • Compiled eight draw controls, six ground balls and six caused turnovers on the week 
  • Tallied four goals and an assist across a pair of games to reach the 100-point plateau for her career
  • Her four ground balls and four caused turnovers against Cornell were both season-highs
  • Father Harry Bourque played football and lacrosse at Dartmouth
