Princeton Men's Soccer Named Region Coaching Staff of the Year

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Princeton men’s soccer coaching staff, led by head coach Jim Barlow has been named the 2018 Northeast Regional Staff of the Year, United Soccer Coaches recently announced.

Princeton clinched the outright Ivy League Championship – its ninth all-time and first since 2014– and the League’s automatic berth to the NCAA Tournament finishing 5-1-1 in Ivy play.

The Tigers, making its first NCAA Tournament appearance since 2010, pushed Michigan to the brink in the first round of the postseason tournament, but the Wolverines advanced past the Tigers, 11-10, in a shootout following a 1-1 draw. Princeton posted a 10-6-2 overall record in 2018.

Barlow, the 2018 Ivy League Coach of the Year, is assisted by associate head coach Steve Totten and assistant coaches Ryan Hayward and Tom Moffat.

Regional Staff of the Year recipients will be placed on the United Soccer Coaches ballot for National Staff of the Year consideration within their respective NCAA division. The ballot will also include the addition of coaching staffs from any schools which advance to the semifinals of their NCAA Championship.
