PRINCETON, N.J. -- After another exciting weekend of Ivy League women's soccer action that saw a shake up at the top of the standings, the weekly awards were announced.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Emily Sands, Penn (Jr., M – West Chester, Pa.)

• Sands scored the game’s only goal to lead Penn to a 1-0 win over League-leading Columbia
• She found the back of the net in the 51^st minute, tapping in the rebound after a shot by Allie Trzaska
• It marked Sands’ fifth goal of the season, matching her goal total from the previous two years combined
• All five of Sands’ goals this season have been gamewinners
• Penn remained undefeated in League play and tied for first with Dartmouth and Harvard. The Quakers extended their best start in program history to 8-1-1
• Sands earns her first career Player of the Week honor and fourth Ivy League weekly award, as she was a three-time Rookie of the Week in 2016
• Sands spent the summer in Europe, including a five-week study abroad program in Madrid

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Rebecca Rosen, Brown (Fr., F – Port Washington, N.Y.)

• Rosen kicked off the Bears’ comeback win at Princeton with a rocket goal in the 42^nd minute to cut the Tigers lead to 2-1
• The Bears would score twice more in the second half en route to the 3-2 victory
• It marked Brown’s second-straight road win at Princeton, the first time the Bears have accomplished that feat since 1992-94
• Rosen earns her first career Ivy League weekly award. She is the second Bear to be named Rookie of the Week this season, joining Maesyn G’Bye (Sept. 24)
• Rosen was a three-sport athlete in high school (soccer, basketball, lacrosse); her older sister is a sophomore on the Penn State women’s lacrosse team
