Columbia, Cornell, Harvard, and Penn Claim Wins In Thrilling Night of Men's Hoops

PRINCETON, N.J. – Columbia, Cornell, Harvard, and Penn all claimed victories in what was a thrilling night of Ivy League men's basketball. Both Cornell and Harvard earned wins on game-winning buckets in the closing seconds as the Big Red earned a big win to move closer to an Ivy Madness berth while the Crimson moved back into a tie for first-place in the conference standings.

COLUMBIA 80, BROWN 62
With an 80-62 win over Brown (9-16, 3-9 Ivy), Columbia (16-10, 5-7 Ivy) remained in the hunt for an Ivy Madness berth as the Lions improved to 5-7 in conference play with one game to go. Currently, Columbia sits one game out of fourth-place Cornell (6-6) for the fourth spot. Kenny Noland once again paced the Lions in scoring with 23 points as freshman standout Connor Igoe nearly tallied a triple-double with 15 points, 10 assists, and eight rebounds.

HARVARD 58, PRINCETON 56
Robert Hinton's game-winning jumpshot in the lane lifted Harvard (16-10, 9-3 Ivy) to a 58-56 win over Princeton (8-19, 4-8 Ivy) in Jadwin Gymnasium. The jumper in the closing seconds put Harvard back into a tie for first-place in the Ivy League standings with Yale as there is only two game remaining in the regular season. Hinton paced the Crimson with 15 points on the night.

CORNELL 72, YALE 69
Cornell (13-12, 6-6 Ivy) boosted their chances at earning an Ivy Madness berth in thrilling fashion with a 72-69 win over Yale (21-5, 9-3 Ivy) at Newman Arena, the site of this year's tournament. Jake Fiegen's three-pointer in the final moments sealed the win for the Big Red and put them in the driver's seat for the coveted fourth spot in Ivy Madness. Feigen tallied 17 points and eight rebounds on the night.

PENN 80, DARTMOUTH 71
With a win over Dartmouth (11-14, 5-7 Ivy), Penn (14-11, 7-5 Ivy) have a strong hold on an Ivy Madness berth, only requiring one more win, or other results around the league, to clinch their spot. Penn trailed by eight points at the break, but TJ Power's 38 points and 12 rebounds guided the Quakers to their seventh conference victory of the season.
