PRINCETON, N.J. – Two Katherine Moran Coleman Aquatics Center pool records fell on the first day of the Ivy League Women's Swimming & Diving Championships.
In the first event of the meet, Harvard’s relay team consisting of
Anya Mostek,
Aliana Marakovic,
Sydney Lu, and
Blythe Wieclawek earned the gold medal with a meet and pool record time of 1:36.13 in the 200 yard medley relay.
Princeton and Yale took the silver and bronze medals, respectively, in the event.
In the next medal event, host-school Brown claimed the top spot with a pool record time of 7:01.37 in the 800 yard freestyle relay. Brown's quartet of
Crystal Yuen,
Isabella Dieffenthaller,
Kelly Dolce, and
Morgan Lukinac bested the previous record by more than two seconds.
The Tigers also claimed the team diving relay exhibition with an overall score of 295.9.
Action resumes tomorrow with prelims set to begin at 11 a.m. and finals at 6 p.m.
