PRINCETON, N.J.– Four Ivy League men's basketball players have been selected to the Team USA 3x3 men’s basketball roster for the upcoming FISU World University Games, set for July 17–20 at the Jahrhunderthalle in Bochum, Germany.
The games feature international 3×3 basketball competition at Bochum's Jahrhunderthalle. The team will train in Cincinnati from July 12 before traveling to Germany on July 15.
The Ivies selected to the USA squad are:
- Columbia’s Avery Brown, rising senior guard, a three-year starter that averaged 11.1 points per game during the 2024-25 season and was second on the team with 2.8 assists per game.
- Harvard’s Chandler Piggé, rising senior guard, brings international experience after competing in a 2024 US-China exchange. He averaged 13.1 points, 6.7 rebounds, 2.6 assists, and 1.7 steals per game during the 2024-25 season.
- Princeton’s Jackson Hicke, rising junior guard, played in all 30 games (eight starts) and averaged 5.5 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 1.1 assists.
- Yale’s Nick Townsend, rising senior forward and 2025-26 captain, was a First-Team All-Ivy performer who started all 30 games, averaging 15.4 points and a team-leading 7.1 rebounds per game.
Team USA will take part in pool play July 17–18, followed by play-in/quarterfinal games on July 19, with the semifinals and medal game set for July 20. An Opening Ceremony is scheduled for July 16.
