WEST WINDSOR, N.J. – For the first time since 2013, the Harvard lightweight men’s rowing team claimed the IRA national title Sunday at Mercer Lake.
The Crimson won both the 1v and 2v. The 1v finished in 5:36.821 which was 2.587 ahead of second place Princeton. The 2v posted a time of 5:46.629 finishing 3.554 seconds before second place Penn.
Princeton’s heavyweight men’s team placed second in the points trophy. The Tigers placed second in the 3v and 2v and fourth in the 1v. Harvard was the top Ivy finisher in the 1v, placing second in 5:28.976.
