PRINCETON, N.J. – All four spots have been claimed for the 2024 version of Ivy Madness, presented by TIAA, in New York City, as Brown defeated Dartmouth to clinch the final spot in the four-team field. Brown, which will be the No. 4 seed in the tournament, clinches its first Ivy Madness berth in program history and is set to join Cornell, Princeton and Yale in the bracket.
Earning wins on the night were Princeton (11-2), Yale (11-2), Brown (7-6) and Penn (3-10). With their wins, Princeton and Yale remain tied atop the Ivy League standings heading into the final game with Cornell just one game behind.
Entering the matchup as two of three teams tied for first place, the Princeton-Cornell game lived up to its expectations as a nail-biter until the end. Cornell led for 29 minutes of the contest, and tied at 71 with under two minutes to go, Princeton’s
Caden Pierce scored six of the game’s next eight points to give the Tigers the final push to earn the win. Pierce finished his night with 23 points on 8-of-12 shooting (67-percent) with eight rebounds, four assists and three steals while
Matt Allocco added 19 points for the Tigers.
Xaivian Lee contributed with a double-double (16 points, 10 rebounds). Cornell’s
Nazir Williams tied for game-high honors with 23 points.
Brown continued its hot streak with its fifth-straight win and second consecutive Ivy back-to-back weekend sweep. The Bears entered the night only needing to win to clinch the final men’s berth into Ivy Madness, and did just that downing Dartmouth, 89-67.
Kimo Ferrari had a night to remember for the Bears, dropping 39 points (14-of-16 FG) with 10 made three-pointers. Ferrari’s 39 points were the most by an Ivy this season.
Yale improved to 11-2 in Ivy play with an 80-60 win over Harvard in New Haven. The Bulldogs shot 51 percent on the evening and had four players finish in double figures against the Crimson.
Danny Wolf posted 16 points and 10 rebounds while
Bez Mbeng also had a double-double with 10 points and 10 assists.
Rounding out the night was a matchup at the Palestra between Penn and Columbia. Penn, which earned an 84-72 win over the Lions, was led by
Nick Spinoso (23 points) and
Clark Slajchert (22 points) who combined for 45 points. Spinoso also added nine rebounds and five assists for the Quakers.

Seeds 1-3 are up for grabs heading into the final game of the regular season. Harvard and Dartmouth will open up the week on Tuesday in Hanover (7 p.m.), while on Saturday, Brown heads to Yale (12 p.m.), Cornell visits Columbia (2 p.m.), and Princeton makes the short trek to Penn on Saturday (6 p.m.).
