Push To Secure Ivy Madness Spots Turns Up a Notch This Weekend

PRINCETON, N.J. – Cornell, Princeton and Yale look to secure Ivy Madness spots this weekend, while the rest of the league seeks to help their chances of earning a berth to the tournament.

Ivy Madness, which combines the men’s and women’s league tournaments, is set to take place from March 15-17 at Levien Gymnasium in New York. Both all-session tickets and single-game tickets are now on sale and may be purchased at IvyMadness.com.

Cornell and Yale are set to square off in a battle for the top spot for the second time this season on Friday evening in Ithaca, N.Y. The two first clashed in New Haven, Conn., on Feb. 23. The Bulldogs won 80-78 with Matt Knowling hitting the game-winning shot with 3.2 seconds remaining. Both squads are 8-1 in league play entering the matchup.

Columbia and Brown go head-to-head Friday evening in a crucial contest for both teams. At 4-5 in league play, the Lions are tied for fourth place in the Ivy standings. However, Harvard has the edge in the tiebreaker as it swept Columbia this season. Just one game behind the Crimson and Lions are the Bears.
