There are several individual returning champions listed on the psych sheet, including multiple events that return more than one champion.

The 500 yard freestyle currently has a pair of former champions listed as its top two seeds in Penn’s Anna Kalandadze (2023) and Princeton’s Ellie Marquardt (2020). Kalandadze finished in 4:38.86 last year, the third fastest time in meet history. The meet record holder is Marquardt, who posted a blazing 4:36.37 in 2020 to earn the gold as a freshman. Kalandadze is the only other Ivy who enters the meet as an event record holder. The senior set the 1650 freestyle record at last year’s meet in 15:53.88.

The 100 yard backstroke has three past champions listed: Harvard’s Anya Mostek (2023) and Addie Rose Bullock (2020) and Brown’s Jenna Reznicek (2022). Reznick and Mostek own two of the top four times in meet history. Reznicek burst onto the scene in 2022 with the second fastest time in meet history of 52.43 in the prelims as a freshman. Mostek, who earned the gold last year with a time of 52.77, has a seed of 52.28 which is the fastest ever time by an Ivy.

The 100 yard breaststroke has a pair of past champions listed in Yale’s Jessey Li (2023) and Harvard’s Aleksandra Denisenko (2022). Li became the sixth Ivy to break the minute mark in the event with a time of 59.96, while Denisenko won the year earlier in 1:00.96.

Denisenko (2022) could also see another former champion in the 200 yard breaststroke in Princeton’s Margaux McDonald (2023). Denisenko posted a time of 2:11.93 in 2022, while McDonald had a 2:11.38 last year.

Past champions listed also include Harvard’s Abigail Carr (200 Fly, 2022) and Katie Laverty (1M Diving, 2022) and Princeton’s Eliza Brown (200 IM, 2023).
