Rubio De La Rosa, Hunt Earn Men’s Basketball Weekly Honors

PRINCETON, N.J. – Following strong individual performances, Columbia’s Geronimo Rubio De La Rosa (player) and Harvard’s Austin Hunt (rookie) earned Ivy League weekly men’s basketball honors.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Geronimo Rubio De La Rosa, Columbia (Sr., G – Santiago, Dominican Republic)
  • Exploded with all of his 27 points in the second half of Saturday's 85-72 win over Fairfield
  • Went 8-of-11 from the floor, 5-of-7 from downtown, and 6-of-6 from the free throw line to carry the Lions in the final 20 minutes
  • This marks his third player of the week honor this season
     
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Austin Hunt, Harvard (Fy., G – Marlborough, Mass)
  • Scored a career-high 16 points while adding three assists, two boards, and two steals in Harvard’s 67-61 win at Iona
  • Hit 5-of-9 field goals and 5-of-6 free throws
  • Netted 14 of his 16 points in the second half
