PRINCETON, N.J. – Following strong individual performances, Princeton’s
Caden Pierce (player) and Dartmouth’s
Connor Amundsen (rookie) earned Ivy League weekly men’s basketball honors.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Caden Pierce, Princeton (Jr., F – Glen Ellyn, Ill.)
- Led Princeton to an 83-82 victory over Big Ten opponent Rutgers in the Never Forget Tribute Classic inside Prudential Center on Dec. 21
- Recorded his 24th career double-double and led the Tigers with 21 points 10-for-17 shooting and grabbed a game-high 14 rebounds, which included a game-high seven offensive rebounds
- Hit the game-winning shot with five seconds remaining
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Connor Amundsen, Dartmouth (Fy., G – Fresno, Calif.)
- Averaged 19 points in a pair of games for the Big Green, highlighted by a 25-point performance in a win over Vermont
- Shot 55% from the field, 82% from three and 78% from the free throw line
- Has won rookie of the week honors in three of the last four weeks.
