Women's Soccer Tournament Set For This Weekend in Princeton, N.J.

PRINCETON, N.J. — The 2024 Ivy League Women’s Soccer Tournament is slated for this Friday and Sunday, November 8 & 10, live on ESPN+. In what was a thrilling regular season that came down to the final weekend, Princeton earned the number one seed and the right to host the tournament. The tournament will take place at Myslik Field at Roberts Stadium in Princeton, N.J.

Princeton enters the tournament as the number one seed after a 6-1 record in conference play and a 12-4 record overall. The Tigers have won four games in a row and lead the league in goals (34) and assists this season. The Tigers are led by forward Pietra Tordin who leads the team in points with seven goals and two assists. Defensively, goalkeeper Tyler McCamey has seven shutouts on the season to lead the league.

Columbia comes into the tournament as the second seed after falling to the Tigers in the last game of the season. The Lions have had a very balanced season thus far, ranking third in the league in scoring and goals allowed. Nata Ramirez paces the Lions in goals (six) and assists (eight) as Maia Tabion and Dema Elder have also tallied four assists each.

Brown (6-4-5, 3-2-2 Ivy) enters the tournament as the third seed. Freshman Ella Weil has starred for the Bears this season, scoring five goals, while Karlie Schlosser leads the team in assists with four. 

Harvard, last year's Ivy league Tournament champions, come into the tournament with a 7-3-5 overall record and a 3-3-1 record in conference play. The Crimson are fresh off a 3-1 victory over Yale last weekend that secured their place in the tournament. Senior Áslaug Gunnlaugsdóttir leads Harvard in goals (seven) and assists (four).

While the seeds are different, the semifinal matchups are the same as last year. Last season, No. 4 Columbia defeated No. 1 Brown and No. 2 Harvard took down No. 3 Princeton before defeating the Lions in the championship game.
