Week 8 Football Award Winners Announced

PRINCETON, N.J. – Following strong performances, Penn’s Liam O’Brien (co-offensive), Yale’s Grant Jordan (co-offensive), Harvard’s Austin-Jake Guillory (defensive), Dartmouth’s Davis Golick (special teams) and Columbia’s Carter McCray (rookie) earned Ivy League football weekly awards.
 
O’Brien and Jordan earned co-offensive player of the week following their seven-touchdown performances. Both threw six touchdowns, becoming the fifth and sixth Ivies to do so in a single game. O’Brien, who had 418 yards of total offense, was named Stats Perform FCS National Offensive Player of the Week.

CO-OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK 
Liam O’Brien, Penn (Jr., QB – Boulder, Colo.)
  • Had seven total TDs (six passing, one rushing) and accounted for 418 yards of total offense
  • Was 22-for-30 through the air for 341 yards and rushed for 77 yards on 13 attempts
  • One of six Ivies to ever throw for six touchdowns in a contest
 
CO-OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK 
Grant Jordan, Yale (Sr., QB – New Orleans, La.)
  • Accounted for seven total TDs (six passing, one rushing) and had 393 yards of total offense
  • Completed 29-of-40 pass attempts for 372 yards and added 21 yards on 10 attempts
  • One of six Ivies to ever throw for six touchdowns in a contest
 
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Austin-Jake Guillory, Harvard (So., DB – New Orleans, La.)
  • Had two interceptions in Harvard’s win over Columbia
  • Finished with six tackles, including four solo
  • It was the first Harvard two-interception outing since Kaleb Moody accomplished the feat at Columbia in 2023
 
SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Davis Golick, Dartmouth (Sr., P – Smyrna, Ga.)
  • Averaged 46.5 yards per punt, with two 50+ yard punts and two that pinned the Tigers inside their own 20-yard line
  • Had punts of 59 and 62 yards, both of which were the program’s longest two punts in the last nine years
     
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Carter McCray, Columbia (Fr., DB – San Antonio, Texas)
  • Posted career-high 10 tackles at No. 24 Harvard on Saturday
  • One of three Lion defenders to post double-figure tackles on the day
  • Added a pass breakup
