PRINCETON, N.J. — The opening week of Ivy League women's basketball proved to be a good one as Ivy League programs recorded notable wins against the Big Ten and Big East, highlighted by Harvard's 72-68 overtime victory against No. 25 Indiana. Individually, Columbia's Kitty Henderson (Player) and Penn's Katie Collins (Rookie) earned this week's weekly awards.
 
PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Kitty Henderson, Columbia (Sr., G - North Curl Curl, Australia)

• Averaged 17.5 points, 6.5 assists, 6.0 rebounds and 3.0 steals to lead Columbia in wins over Stony Brook and Providence.
• Shot 57.7% (15-26) from the field, 37.5% (3-8) from three-point range.
• Had a game-high seven assists and three steals vs. Stony Brook.

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Katie Collins, Penn (Fr., F - Manasquan, N.J.)

• Helped lead Penn to a 2-0 weekend with victories over Merrimack and Maine.
• Shot 63.6% (7-11) from the field including 80% (4-for-5) against the Warriors.
• Averaged 8.5 points, 9.0 rebounds, and had seven blocks, four steals, and five assists in both games.
• Against Merrimack, Collins flirted with a triple-double scoring nine points and adding 10 boards and six blocks.
