PRINCETON, N.J. – Following strong performances that led their teams to big league wins, Princeton’s Xaivian Lee (player) and Penn’s Tyler Perkins (rookie) earned Ivy League men’s basketball weekly honors.
The Quakers defeated Dartmouth, 80-59, and the Tigers pulled away from Harvard in the second half to earn an 89-58 win. Both Lee and Perkins had significant scoring spurts. Lee had 21 second-half points and all of Perkins 19 points came in the opening 17 minutes to provide a comfortable cushion for Penn.
Ivy League play resumes Tuesday, Jan. 9 with Columbia traveling to Cornell at 6 p.m. and Yale playing Brown on ESPNU at 7 p.m.

Xaivian Lee, Princeton G
- Finished with a career-high 33 points, eight rebounds and a career-high seven assists in Princeton’s win over Harvard
- 13-of-22 from the field and 5-of-11 from three-point range
- Scored 21 second-half points after posting six assists in the first frame
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Tyler Perkins, Penn G
- Scored 19 points, while grabbing five boards and recording three assists in Penn’s win over Dartmouth
- Hit five triples, shooting 63 percent from beyond the arc against the Big Green
- Had a 13-point, eight-rebound performance against No. 25 Auburn earlier in the week
