PRINCETON, N.J. – Following a week with several strong performances, Princeton’s Caden Pierce and Harvard’s Thomas Batties II earned Ivy League men’s basketball weekly honors.
Cornell, Princeton and Yale posted impressive wins last weekend. Cornell bested Central New York foe Colgate, three-time reigning Patriot League champions, by a score of 77-64. Princeton outlasted Delaware on the road, 84-82, to conclude non-conference play with a record of 12-1. Yale picked up its second win over a WCC opponent besting Santa Clara, 66-58, behind a 23-point, 13-rebound performance from Danny Wolf.
With league play slated to start on Saturday, Ivies have several tests in the final week non-league play with four contests against teams that made last season’s NCAA tournament. Beginning Tuesday with Brown-Vermont, Cornell-Baylor and Penn-Auburn and concluding Wednesday with Yale-Howard.
