Men's Ice Hockey 3/19/2023 10:00:00 PM Cornell, Harvard Headed to NCAA Men's Ice Hockey Championship PRINCETON, N.J. -- Following successful regular seasons that saw the two programs as mainstays in the national rankings, Cornell and Harvard will participate in the 2023 NCAA Men's Ice Hockey Championship starting later this week. Cornell will be the No. 2 seed in the Manchester Regional and square off against third-seeded Denver on Thursday at 5:30 p.m. The game will be televised on ESPNEWS and ESPN+. Thursday's contest will be the 13th all-time meeting between the Big Red and Pioneers, and the first since a two-game series at Lynah Rink in 2014. It is Cornell's 23rd appearance all-time in the NCAA Tournament. Harvard is also a No. 2 seed and will head to the Bridgeport Regional to take on No. 3 Ohio State on Friday at 2 p.m. The Crimson will appear in the NCAA Tournament for the sixth time in the last eight completed seasons and for the eighth time under the leadership of Ted Donato. This will mark just the second meeting between Harvard and Ohio State, an at-large selection out of the Big Ten. Ohio State won the only other meeting, 4-2, on Dec. 29, 2007 as part of the Ohio Hockey Classic in Columbus, Ohio.
