Women's Squash All-Ivy, Postseason Awards Announced

PRINCETON, N.J. – Cornell’s Sivasangari Subramaniam and Penn’s Malak Taha earned Ivy League women’s squash postseason awards following a vote of the league’s head coaches.
 
Subramaniam was a unanimous selection for Player of the Year and Taha was voted the Rookie of the Year. Harvard head coach Mike was named the Ivy League Coach of the Year.
 
Subramaniam, the reigning individual national champion, was a perfect 6-0 in Ivy play at the No. 1 position and helped lead Cornell to a 4-2 Ivy mark.
 
In her freshman year, Taha held a record of 3-3 at Penn’s No. 1 spot to help earn her rookie of the year honors and a spot on the All-Ivy team.  
 
Way led the Crimson to its seventh consecutive Ivy title with an unblemished 6-0 record in league play. Harvard currently holds the No. 2 spot in the national polls.
 
Six teams were represented on the All-Ivy team. Harvard had the most honorees with three: Habiba Eldafrawy, Saran Gregory-Nghiem and Marina Stefanoni – both Eldafrawy and Stefanoni were unanimous selections.
 
Cornell two honorees were both unanimous selections in Subramaniam and Wen Li Lai.
 
Columbia (Farida Mohamed and Chan Sin Yuk), Princeton (Molly Chadwick and Andrea Toth) and Yale (Snehan Sivakumar and Elisabeth Ross) also each had a pair of nominees.
 
Additionally, one Ivy League women's squash student-athlete from each institution was recognized for their commitment in the classroom and on the court as members of the 2022-23 Ivy League Women's Squash Academic All-Ivy team. Columbia's Erica McGillicuddy, Cornell’s Sydney Bednar, Dartmouth’s Claire Aube, Harvard’s Brittany Sun, Penn's Navmi Sharma, Princeton’s Katherine Glaser and Yale’s Yuliia Zhukovets were each named to the team.
