KANSAS CITY, Mo. (Dec. 1, 2023) — Five Ivy League student-athletes earned All-America status as the United Soccer Coaches announced the 2023 NCAA Division I Women’s All-Americans on Friday.
Two Ivies — Brown's
Brittany Raphino and Harvard's
Josefine Hasbo — were named to the First Team. Harvard's
Jade Rose and Princeton's
Madison Curry and
Pietra Tordin were Third Team selections.
Hasbo, a unanimous selection to the All-Ivy First-Team, recorded 10 goals and six assists as she helped lead Harvard to the NCAA Tournament for a third straight season. The junior played a crucial role in helping the Crimson progress to the second round of the tournament following a win over Maine.
Raphino captured her third-straight Ivy League Offensive Player of the Year award. Raphino, who was unanimously voted Offensive Player of the Year, helped lead Brown to an undefeated Ivy League slate and finished the regular season as the Ivy League’s top scorer with 19 points and eight goals in seven Ivy League games. Overall, Raphino finished with 13 goals and seven assists for 33 total points.
Rose landed on the third team this season after collecting second team honors a year ago. She earned the Ivy League's Defensive Player of the Year award for a second straight season while helping the defensive unit allow the third-fewest shots on goal in the country.
Curry helped lead the Tigers to the second round of the NCAA tournament, playing the second-most minutes of any field player on the team and helping keep opponents to a 1.21 goals-per-game average over the course of the season. In the NCAA tournament, Curry played all 200 minutes as Princeton blanked Michigan and Texas Tech.
Tordin led the Ivy League in shots (82), shots on goal (38) and game-winning goals (seven) while finishing second in the league with 12 goals.
This year’s All-Americans will be recognized for their accomplishments at the United Soccer Coaches All-America Ceremony & Reception on Saturday, Jan. 13, 2024, at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California, in conjunction with the United Soccer Coaches Convention.
