Yale Sweeps Volleyball Weekly Awards After Winning Outright Ivy Title

TOURNAMENT INFORMATION

PRINCETON, N.J. – With two wins to earn the outright Ivy League title and hosting rights for the upcoming Ivy League volleyball tournament, Yale swept the Ivy League weekly volleyball awards as Audrey Leak (Player) and Betsy Goodenow (Rookie) were honored on Monday. 
 
PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Audrey Leak, Yale (Sr., OH – Saddle River, N.J.)
  • Put down 25 kills (3.57 kills/set) in a 2-0 week for Yale, helping the Bulldogs capture the outright Ivy League title with a win over Dartmouth on Saturday
  • Registered a .417 hitting percentage
  • Posted double-digit kills in both games including 15 in a win over Harvard when she also hit .500 for the match.
 
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Betsy Goodenow, Yale (Fr., RS – Lenexa, Kansas.)
  • Averaged 4.14 kills per set (29 total) and hit .429 in Yale’s two road victories.
  • Also had six digs, five blocks, three service aces and two assists
  • Recorded double-digit kills in both contests with 15 on Saturday against Dartmouth to go along with a .542 hitting percentage
