Week 4 Football Award Winners Announced

PRINCETON, N.J. – After leading their teams to wins this weekend, Harvard’s Charles DePrima (Offensive), Yale’s Sean Guyton (Defensive), Columbia’s William Hughes (Special Teams) and Penn’s Malachi Hosley (Rookie) earned Ivy League football awards for Week 4.
 
DePrima was also named the FedEx Ground FCS National Offensive Player of the Week by Stats Perform.
 
One of two remaining unbeaten teams in the FCS, Harvard was ranked the No. 18 team in the AFCA coaches poll and No. 19 in the Stats Perform media poll.  
 
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Charles DePrima, Harvard QB
  • Accounted for six total touchdowns with three passing and three rushing scores against Cornell
  • Only player in the FCS this season with three passing touchdowns in the same game
  • Accumulated 361 yards of total offense with 209 through the air and 152 rushing yards on just nine attempts
 
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Sean Guyton, Yale DB
  • Had two interceptions, including a 70-yard pick six against Dartmouth
  • 70-yard interception return for a touchdown was the 10th longest in school history and the longest since Adam Money had a 77-yard return against Brown in 2009
  • Posted three tackles, including one for a loss
 
SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK
William Hughes, Columbia P
  • Averaged 46.8 yards on four punts, including two inside the 20 and a long of 71 against Marist
  • The 71-yarder marked a career high and is tied for the fifth-longest punt in program history.
  • The 71-yard punt is also tied for the fourth longest punt in the FCS this season
 
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Malachi Hosley, Penn RB
  • Rushed six times for 48 yards and a pair of touchdowns including the game-winning score in OT against Georgetown
  • Also caught five passes for 53 yards, including a 55-yard reception
  • Finished with 101 all-purpose yards
