PRINCETON, N.J. – After both Princeton guard Ethan Wright and Cornell guard Chris Manon posted back-to-back 20-or-more point performances, the two earned Ivy League men’s basketball weekly awards, presented by TIAA.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Ethan Wright, Princeton (Sr., G – Newton Centre, Mass.)
- Averaged 26.5 points per game on 57.1% shooting from the field and 44.4% shooting from three, along 5.5 rebounds per game
- Had 26 points on 10-for-16 shooting from the field and eight rebounds against Cornell
- Backed up that performance with 27 points on 10-for-19 shooting and three rebounds against Columbia
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Chris Manon, Cornell (So., G – New Milford, N.J)
- Averaged 21.0 points, 5.5 rebounds, 4.0 assists, 2.0 steals and 1.0 blocks in a pair of games this past weekend for the Big Red while shooting 59 percent from the floor
- Set personal bests in scoring (22), rebounds (seven) and assists (five) while adding three steals and a blocked shot against Princeton
- Had 20 points, four rebounds, three assists, a steal and a blocked shot, netting 12 points after the break against Penn
