CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard claimed its 15th Ivy League Women’s Swimming and Diving title finishing the meet with 1503.5 points. This is the third in the last four seasons that the Crimson have earned the Frank Keefe Trophy.
Harvard’s
Katie Laverty was the meet’s high point diver with 55 points. Penn’s Lia
Thomas was the meet’s high point swimmer with the maximum 96 points. Harvard’s
Georgina Milne took home the Ron Keenhold Award for career high-point diver. Yale’s
Ashley Loomis claimed the career high point swimmer honor.
The final day of competition opened with Penn’s
Catherine Buroker posting an NCAA B cut time and taking first in the 1650 freestyle in 16:21.17.
Harvard’s
Felicia Pasadyn notched a pool record in the 200 backstroke with a time of 1:55.69.
In the 100 freestyle both Thomas and Yale’s
Iszac Henig swam better times than the meet record heading into the competition. Thomas won in 47.63 seconds with Henig close behind in 47.82. Princeton’s
Nikki Venema (48.81) and Harvard’s
Molly Hamlin (49.38) each posted NCAA B Standard times in the event.
Harvard’s
Aleksandra Denisenko placed first in the 200 breaststroke with an NCAA B cut time of 2:11.93. Yale’s
Ava Franks also posted a B standard time in 2:12.79.
Four swimmers set NCAA B standard times in the 200 butterfly. Harvard’s
Abigail Carr posted the top time in 1:57.26. Penn’s
Vanessa Chong (1:58.17), Yale’s
Alexandra Massey (1:58.72) and Princeton’s
Jess Yeager (1:58.75) all met the standard as well.
The Crimson claimed the top four spots in the 3 meter diving final.
Elizabeth Miclau won the event with a final score of 315.20.
Penn’s group of Thomas,
Margot Kaczorowski,
Hannah Kannan and
Camryn Carter posted a Blodgett Pool record with a time of 3:17.80.
