Clark Slajchert took home Ivy League men’s basketball weekly awards, presented by TIAA.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Ike Nweke, Columbia (Sr., F – Woodbine, Md.)
- Averaged 21.5 points and shot 60.6-percent from the floor and notched 10.0 boards in a pair of road contests
- Helped Lions secure first road win of the year after registering game-high 21 points (9-of-15 shooting) and pulled down personal-best 15 rebounds for his third career double-double
- Scored career-high 22 points, converting on 11-of-18 shots, and added five rebounds and a block at Princeton
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Clark Slajchert, Penn (So., G – Thousand Oaks, Calif.)
- Averaged 15.0 points and shot 50 percent from the field over the weekend
- Led Penn with 19 points in its win over Cornell on Friday, shooting 6-for-12 from the floor and 2-for-5 from deep
- Had an 11-point performance against Columbia, connecting on five of his 10 shot attempts.
