PRINCETON, N.J. – Following strong performances on the hardwood Columbia’s Ike Nweke and Penn’s Clark Slajchert took home Ivy League men’s basketball weekly awards, presented by TIAA.
 
PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Ike Nweke, Columbia (Sr., F – Woodbine, Md.)

• Averaged 21.5 points and shot 60.6-percent from the floor and notched 10.0 boards in a pair of road contests
• Helped Lions secure first road win of the year after registering game-high 21 points (9-of-15 shooting) and pulled down personal-best 15 rebounds for his third career double-double
• Scored career-high 22 points, converting on 11-of-18 shots, and added five rebounds and a block at Princeton

 
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK 
Clark Slajchert, Penn (So., G – Thousand Oaks, Calif.)

• Averaged 15.0 points and shot 50 percent from the field over the weekend
• Led Penn with 19 points in its win over Cornell on Friday, shooting 6-for-12 from the floor and 2-for-5 from deep
• Had an 11-point performance against Columbia, connecting on five of his 10 shot attempts.
