PRINCETON, N.J. – For the second consecutive week, Yale had a pair of football weekly award winners, presented by TIAA, in Spencer Alston and Melvin Rouse II. Penn’s Garrett Morris and Columbia’s Joe Green also collected awards.
 
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK 
Spencer Alston, Yale (Jr., RB – Reston, Va.)

• Scored the Bulldogs' first and last touchdowns of the day and tied a career high with three total scores
• Finished with 116 yards and two rushing touchdowns on 17 carries, in addition to hauling in a touchdown reception
• Selected as the New England Football Writers' DI Gold Helmet winner as the player of the week

 
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Garrett Morris, Penn (Sr., LB – Auburn, Ala.)

• Had six total tackles, one TFL and returned an interception for a touchdown
• Four of his tackles were solo stops and he also added a QBH
• Is the first Quaker to return an interception for a touchdown since Nick Miller in October of 2017 against Columbia
   

SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Melvin Rouse II, Yale (Sr., WR – East Charlotte, N.C.)

• Turned around the game for Yale as his 86-yard punt return touchdown swung the momentum for the Bulldogs 
• The punt return was the third-longest in Yale history while Rouse already owns the kickoff return record which he set at 100 yards in 2018
• Had a total of three punt returns for 94 yards
   

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Joe Green, Columbia (So., QB – Sammamish, Wash.)

• Registered a career-high for passing yards with 223 on the day
• Completed 22 of 44 passes with no interceptions
