CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Columbia women’s fencing team and the Harvard men’s fencing squad both went undefeated to claim the outright Ivy League Fencing Round-Robin titles.
The Columbia women claim its third straight Ivy League title and its 13th championship in program history. The Lions are 18-0 over the last three fencing round-robins. Harvard men, which went undefeated with a 5-0 mark.
Columbia women carried its momentum into the final three rounds after going undefeated through the first four rounds on day one of the event. The Lions defeated Princeton, 17-10, in the fifth round before taking down Yale, 18-9 in the sixth round. Columbia closed out the two-day event by handing No. 10 Cornell a 15-12.

Chloe Daniel posted a 12-4 mark to earn the individual League title in epee.
The Harvard men’s team, which finished the two-day event with a perfect 5-0 mark, clinched the Ivy League title in the sixth round thanks to an 18-9 win over Penn. The Crimson swept the foil and took a closely-contested epee battle, 5-4. Harvard closed out the event with a win over Princeton.

Columbia finished in second with a 4-1 mark followed by Princeton with a 3-2 mark, while Penn, Yale and Brown rounded out the standings.
Harvard claimed two of the three Individual Ivy League titles with
Mitchell Saron taking home the saber title and
Geoffrey Tourette earning the foil title. Saron, the top-ranked saber in the junior world rankings, went 11-4 throughout. Tourette went unbeaten to take home his third Ivy League fencing title. Princeton’s
Dylan Kim went 11-4 in epee to earn his title.
Penn and Princeton will compete in the Mid-Atlantic/South NCAA Regional is set for Saturday, March 7 at Duke. The other five Ivy League teams will head to Ithaca, N.Y., to compete at the Northeast Regional on Sunday, March 8 at Cornell.
