PRINCETON, N.J. -- Yale, Harvard and Columbia each held serve on its homecourt this weekend to pick up Ivy League season-opening wins.
In New Haven, Yale showcased another stingy defensive performance, holding a potent Brown offense to just 56 points in a 70-56 win on Friday evening. The Bulldogs were led by
Jordan Bruner's 23 points and seven rebounds on 7-for-13 shooting. The Bears were paced by
Tamanang Choh's 18 points. The two teams will meet in Providence next Friday evening in a nationally-telvised game on ESPNU.

In Cambridge, Harvard survived an entertaining back and forth game to defeat Dartmouth 67-62 on Saturday afternoon. The Crimson were led by
Chris Lewis and
Chris Ledlum's 18 points each. Dartmouth grabbed 13 points from
Aaryn Rai.

In New York City, Columbia raced out to an early first half lead and never looked back on its way to a convincing 75-61 win over Cornell on Saturday evening. The Lions were led by
Jack Forrest's 23 points on 10-for-15 shooting from the floor.
Terrance McBride's 17 points led the Big Red. The two squads will meet next weekend in Ithaca, N.Y.
