Dartmouth (2-0, 0-0 Ivy), Princeton (2-0, 0-0 Ivy) and Yale (2-0, 1-0 Ivy)—the top three teams in the Ivy League Football Preseason Poll—remain unbeaten.
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Kevin Davidson, Princeton (Sr., QB – Danville, Calif.)
- Threw a Princeton and Ivy League record seven touchdown passes in a 56-23 win over Bucknell
- Totaled 381 yards on 29-for-37 passing
- Added six rushing yards to his record-setting performance through the air
- Ranks among the top two in the FCS in completion percentage (1st, .810), passing efficiency (1st, 236.80), points responsible for per game (1st, 27.0), passing yards per game (2nd, 361.00) and total offense (2nd, 363.00)
- Backed up the past three Bushnell Cup winners for Ivy League Offensive Player of the Year in former Princeton quarterbacks Chad Kanoff (2017) and John Lovett (2016 & 2018)
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Rodney Thomas II, Yale (Jr., DB – Pittsburgh, Pa.)
- Picked off a pair of passes in Yale’s 27-16 win victory over Cornell
- Recorded two passes defended and three tackles
- Recorded 52 interception return yards, including a 22-yard return for a pick six
- 1-of-5 players tied atop the FCS with 1.0 interceptions per game, including Bulldog teammate sophomore defensive back Dathan Hickey
- Distant relative of Heisman Trophy runner-up and NFL Pro Bowler Keith Byars
SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Connor Davis, Dartmouth (So., K – Ocala, Fla.)
- Converted 5-for-5 point-after attempts in Dartmouth’s 38-3 win over Colgate
- Drilled his first field goal attempt of the season from 39 yards out to give Dartmouth a 24-0 halftime lead
- Averaged 57.4 yards per kickoff against the Raiders
- Father, Judd Davis, was a walk-on at Florida, earning the Lou Groza Award as college football’s best kicker in 1993
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
James Stagg, Princeton (Fr., DL – Phoenix, Ariz.)
- Posted a pair of tackles in Princeton’s 56-23 road victory at Bucknell
- Recorded his first career sack to end a Bison drive at the conclusion of the first half
- Added an interception—and a 19-yard return to the 1-yard line—to set up the Tigers’ final touchdown
- Father, Richard Stagg, was part of Arizona’s 1976 College World Series champion baseball team
