PRINCETON, N.J. -- The Ivy League released its list of student-athletes selected for 2018-19 Academic All-Ivy honors in its winter sports today. The 80 men and women thrived in their sport and in the classroom, as starters or key reserves on an officially recognized varsity team with 3.0 or better cumulative grade point averages. Each institution nominated five men and five women from its eligible student-athletes.

Ian Butterbrodt, Sr., Wrestling, Biology, (North Andover, Mass.)
First-team All-Ivy…advanced to the round of 12 at the NCAA Championships…placed second at 285 pounds at the 2019 EIWA Championships.
Zach Giutarri, Jr., Hockey, Engineering, (Warwick, R.I.)
Second-team All-Ivy…led the team in power-play goals, game-winning goals, blocked shots and a +8 rating as a defenseman…assistant captain.
Gabby Hechtman, Sr., Gymnastics, Business, Entrepreneurship and Organizations, (Bellmore, N.Y.)
First-team All-ECAC on vault after finishing third at the ECAC Championships…USAG qualifier on vault…won the vault title during the season opener at Alaska Anchorage on Jan. 11.

First-team All-Ivy after winning the long jump for the second-straight year at the Ivy League Heptagonal Indoor Championships…broke the school record in the event…it was also the fourth-best mark in Ivy Heps meet history.

Honorable mention All-Ivy…finished her career with 1,785 points, ranking second in program history and 11th in Ivy League history…ranked third in the league in points per game (16.5), first in steals per game (3.2), first in minutes per game (35.9), third in assists per game (4.3), and fifth in three-pointers made per game (2.2).
Obi Okolie, Sr., Basketball, Sociology, (Ajax, Ontario, Canada)
Second-team All-Ivy…selected Ivy League Defensive Player of the Year…started all 30 games…scored in double figures in 19 of Brown's last 21 games, including 13-of-14 Ivy League games.
May Stern, Jr., Track & Field, Psychology, (Providence, R.I.)
First-team All-Ivy…won the 400 meters at the Ivy League Heptagonal Indoor Championships…her time ranked third all-time in program history and was the fastest at Brown in 10 years.

Second-team All-Ivy…broke his own school record in the 100 backstroke at the Ivy League Championships, finishing second overall…also finished third in the 200 backstroke and fifth in the 200 IM at Ivies…broke the 200 IM school record at Ivies along with four relay records.
