PRINCETON, N.J. – Three teams in a four-team field have been decided for the 2019 Ivy League Men’s Basketball Tournament after Friday night’s action concluded.

Yale registered an 88-65 win over Cornell to earn a spot at the 2019 edition of Ivy Madness, which will be held at John J. Lee Amphitheater. Harvard outlasted Penn for a 59-53 win, while Princeton narrowly topped Dartmouth in overtime, 77-76. The Crimson and Tigers clinched spots by virtue of both Cornell and Brown losing their Friday night games. Seeds for the tournament have not yet been determined.

In New Haven, Miye Oni had 30 points as Yale routed Cornell. Oni drilled 7-of-10 triples and pulled down seven rebounds to lead a quartet of scorers in double figures. The Bulldogs totaled a season-high 61 points in the first half. Josh Warren posted 15 points for the Big Red.

The Crimson used a balanced scoring attack with four players scoring in double figures to complete the season sweep of Penn. Bryce Aiken and Noah Kirkwood turned in 12 points each to pace the Crimson offense. AJ Brodeur netted a game high 24 points on 10-of-17 shooting to lead the Quakers.

Princeton’s Ryan Schwieger produced 26 points – including 11-of-11 at the foul line – to help the Tigers escape Leede Arena with a 77-76 overtime victory over Dartmouth. Myles Stephens turned in 19 points while rookie Jaelin Llewellyn scored 17 points in the win. Dartmouth’s Aaryn Rai had a career-game with 21 points and 12 rebounds for his first-ever double-double but it wasn’t enough as the Big Green suffered their sixth straight Ivy League loss by three points or fewer.

Columbia picked up an 80-77 road victory at Brown. Patrick Tape led three double-figures scorers with 16 points and seven rebounds, while Gabe Stefanini had 12 of his 14 points in the second half along with eight rebounds to help secure the win. Brown sophomore Tamenang Choh paced the Bears with 25 points on 10-of-16 shooting from the field, while adding a game high nine rebounds.

With one spot left in the tournament field, four teams – Brown, Columbia, Cornell and Penn – remain alive heading into tomorrow night. The Bears will play host to the Big Red, while Columbia visits Yale. All the action is available on ESPN+.
