PRINCETON, N.J. – The Ivy League’s signature conference schedule continues this weekend with the second of six straight weeks of back-to-backs as teams’ jockey for berths to the 2019 Ivy league Men’s Basketball Tournament. The Ivy League is enjoying one of its most successful basketball campaigns in recent history, with both the men (10th) and women (11th) listed in the top-11 (out of 32) of the national conference rankings. Ivy League basketball is one of only 10 conferences to tout those top-11 rankings in both genders.

WHAT TO WATCH FOR
  • OFFENSE VS. DEFENSE - Undefeated Princeton will face a challenging road swing as the matchups will pit the league’s top defense against the league’s top offense. The Tigers’ defense, which has limited league opponents to just 55.5 points per game, will be tested when it plays the first of two games against Yale, which leads the League in scoring offense at 81.2 points per game. The Tigers are 1-3 when allowing opponents 80 or more points in game, while Yale has only been held to less than 55 points one this season in a road loss at Harvard
  • THREE-POINT SHOOTOUT - Two of the league’s best three-point shooting teams are set up to tipoff on Friday when Columbia visits Dartmouth. The Big Green is averaging 39.2 percent from beyond the arc as a team, which is good for 16th in the country. Columbia is 2-6 when limiting opponents shoot more than 40 percent from deep. Dartmouth is led by Brendan Barry, who is shooting 50 percent from bonus range, best in the nation.  The Lions will rely on senior guard Quinton Adlesh who ranks third among league leaders in three pointers made per game (2.7) and three-point field goal percentage (.460).
  • SHUTDOWN DEFENSE - Brown’s No. 11 ranked three-point field-goal defense in the country will attempt to lock down the perimeter when Penn travels to Providence in a key matchup. The Quakers, who rank second in the Ivy League in three-point field goals per game and total three-point field goals made per game, at 9.2 and 184, respectively, rely on points from beyond the arc to win games. Brown has limited 17 of its 20 opponents to less than 10 three-pointers per game and is 11-6 when doing so.
  • TOP SCORING THREAT - In Saturday’s matchup between Cornell and Harvard, two of Division I’s best scorers will take the court in Harvard junior forward Chris Lewis and cornell senior guard Matt Morgan. Lewis ranked fifth in field goal percentage at 66.7 percent, while Cornell senior guard Matt Morgan is ranked 14th in Division I in points per game at 23.0. Morgan ranks third in the all-time points score list with 2,106 total points.
