"Besides being a brother, friend, fan, student and athlete, one of my biggest roles on campus is being the President of SAAC. Through this role I have had the chance to make friends across many sports and be a fan at their games! A passion of mine on campus has been trying to promote mental health awareness. As President of SAAC, I make it part of my weekly routine to attend all of my friends’ competitions or live performances. We all put a lot of time and energy into the things we do and sometimes seeing friends and peers support us in our endeavors is exactly what we need. There is no better feeling than to look into the crowd and see a friend there to support you. I believe that being a friend and supporter will help us better understand each other, which will lead to deeper connections and conversations and help to better our mental health."
