Sara Steinman is in her third year at the Ivy League as the Assistant Executive Director for Championships and Sport Administration. 

In her role, Steinman oversees or plays an integral role in the administration and event operations for the Ivy League’s 13 championships, coordinates intra-conference scheduling for a select number of the league’s 34 sports and manages the officiating and administration of playing rules for the League. Additionally, she oversees the independent contractors who serve as the league’s officiating coordinators for her assigned sports. 

Steinman came to the Ivy League after a stint at Delaware County Community College, where she served as the Director of Wellness, Athletics, and Recreation. In her role at DCCC, she initiated a rebrand of the college’s athletics logo and spearheaded the debut of the department’s new athletic website. In addition to her responsibilities within the athletic department, she served as a Title IX investigator for the college as well as the project director for grants from the Pennsylvania Department of Drug and Alcohol Programs and the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board. 

Prior to Delaware County Community College, Steinman spent 10 years at Moravian University in various capacities. From 2009 to 2015, Steinman was an assistant coach for the women’s basketball program. During her time on the sidelines, the Greyhounds captured the Landmark Conference Championship in 2009-10 which put the finishing touches on a perfect 14-0 conference regular season. Seven Greyhounds surpassed the 1,000-point plateau during Steinman’s coaching tenure that saw the program qualify for the NCAA tournament in 2009-10 and 2014-15. In 2015, she was elevated to the position of Assistant Athletic Director. 

Steinman earned a Bachelor of Arts in Health and Physical Education from Kean University in 2009, a Master of Science in Sport Management from East Stroudsburg University in 2014, and a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership from Drexel University in 2024.
