Colleen Carr joined the Ivy League office in November 2021 as the Events and Administrative Coordinator and was promoted to Assistant Executive Director, Events & Administration, in November 2023.
In her current role, she partners closely with the Executive Director to advance league-wide priorities, providing operational leadership and coordination across all eight Ivy
League institutions. She oversees the planning and execution of governance-level meetings and Ivy League championships, while also serving as a key liaison to institutional leaders, NCAA officials, and Division I commissioners. Additionally, she directs executive communications and office operations to support a high-performing, collaborative organization.
Prior to joining the Ivy League, Carr served as Head Coach of the women’s rugby program at Long Island University from 2019 to 2021. During her tenure, she played a pivotal role in elevating the program from Division II to Division I, securing its first Division I victory and mentoring more than 10 student-athletes to All-Academic and Second Team All-NIRA honors.
Before her time at LIU, Carr spent five years as an assistant coach for women’s rugby at Quinnipiac University. During that period, the Bobcats won three NIRA national
championships (2015, 2016, 2017), and she coached multiple athletes who earned NIRA All-American honors. She was also a graduate of the NCAA Women Coaches Academy (Class 41) and participated in the inaugural NCAA Women’s Coaches Mentor Program.
In 2014–2015, Carr worked as an athletic trainer at Yale University, supporting a variety of sports, including football.
Carr graduated from Quinnipiac University in 2014 with a degree in athletic training. As a student-athlete, she was a standout member of the inaugural rugby team in spring 2011, serving as a four-year captain and starter. She earned Most Valuable Player honors for the 2012–2013
season, leading the team in assists.
She lives in New Jersey with her husband, Elliott, and their son, Leon.
