PRINCETON, N.J. – Beginning with the 2027 season, Ivy League football will institute a bye week as part of its regular-season schedule.
 
For the 2027 season, league games originally scheduled for Week 6 — the first week featuring exclusively Ivy vs. Ivy competition — will instead be played in Week 1 on Sept. 11. The league-wide bye week will take place the weekend of Oct. 23.

Options for the implementation of the bye week beyond the 2027 season will continue to be discussed throughout the upcoming year.
